Free analysis in Bratislava

We tell you what to do so more people come to you.

Name 3 venues you see as your competition and we compare you with them. We recommend 3 changes that will bring you more guests. For each one we write what to do and by when. After 30 days we send you a review of whether you made the changes and how well they worked.

How it works

How we find what brings you more guests

  1. Send us your website and price list.

A link to your website or to your menu on Wolt or Bolt is enough. You can also send the price list as a photo or PDF.

  2. Tell us who your competition is.

Name 3 venues your guests go to instead of you. Often it is not the place across the street, but the one with, say, better coffee. If you don't, we pick them, but a comparison with your own choice is more precise.

  3. We find out why guests choose them.

We compare prices, menu items, ratings and reviews from public sources.

  4. We tell you what to do so they choose you.

3 concrete changes, each with what to do and by when. All free.

  5. After 30 days we check whether it worked.

We send you a review: whether you made the changes, whether they worked and to what extent. We can see that in public data. What isn't in it, you check yourself. If you raise the price of a cappuccino, for example, check in your till whether orders dropped. If they didn't, the recommendation worked. If it helped, you can continue with Signal: for a whole year we keep advising you like this and tracking 5 competitors, for €199 a year excl. VAT.

Analysis

A sample analysis

This is what the findings in your analysis can look like. The sample is based on a real analysis of a Bratislava restaurant, with the name and numbers changed. We calculate thousands of numbers, but put only the ones you need in your analysis: the 3 findings that will bring you the most.

Restaurant market analysisAdjusted numbers
01

Lunch guests take elsewhere

You are the only one of the four without a lunch offer. Yet in the area, lunch is 4 in 10 of the visits where guests said in a review which meal they came for. A competitor has 20 lunch dishes at €6.90 on average.

What to do: Consider a simple lunch menu, for example 2 courses under €13, and track how many guests come for lunch.

  1. 02

    The day your rating dropped

Your rating did not slide. On one day in April 2023 it fell from 4.4★ to 3.8★ and has stayed there. About three quarters of the drop is in the food rating.

What to do: Find out what changed in the kitchen that month: the chef, a supplier or the recipes. That is where most of the problem is.

  2. 03

What guests get for a typical bill

Guests who spent €20 to €30 gave you 3.3★ and your competitors 4.1★ for the same money. The gap is in the sides: fries at €7 against €5 and €3.

What to do: For your most ordered sides and drinks, either lower the price or print the portion size on the menu.

  3. 04

    Service more guests complain about

Three years ago one in five negative mentions was about service. Today it is one in three. At your competitors that number has not moved and stays at a quarter.

What to do: Write one A4 page for your staff about the three moments guests complain about most: the welcome, announcing fees and bringing the bill. An hour of writing and one shift of training.

  4. 05

Why not to ask for new reviews yet

Your profile shows 4.2★, but new ratings average 3.9★. For now, every new review lowers your number.

What to do: Start a review campaign only once your last 20 ratings average above 4.2★. Until then, fix the causes above.

  5. 06

    Dishes guests mention by name

Pizza has 3.2★ from 70 reviews and almost half the mentions are negative. Tuna has 4.7★ and tiramisu 4.5★.

What to do: Decide whether the pizza stays as it is, and feature the tuna and tiramisu in your posts.

Why trust us

We can back up every recommendation

  • We can back up every number: which review, which menu, which date.
  • What can't be found out from public data, we say openly. We don't guess.
  • We compare only the same items and the same period for you and your competitors.
  • We have tested the method on real venues in Bratislava.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the analysis really free?

Yes. We need no payment and no access to your till. After 30 days we send you a review of whether you made the changes and how well they worked. If they did and you want us to keep advising you and tracking your competitors for a whole year, we will offer you Signal for €199 a year excl. VAT.

Can you guarantee more guests?

Nobody can guarantee that. What we can do is show you where your competitors are ahead and what to do about it. After 30 days we send you a review of whether the changes show in your reviews, ratings and prices. What public data can't show, such as the number of orders, you check in your till.

Do you need anything from me?

Your venue's name, your email and 3 venues you see as your competition. If you also send your website and price list, the comparison will be more precise. If you tell us how many of an item you sell a week, our recommendations will be even more precise.

Do I have to choose the competition?

No, but we recommend it. You know best where your guests go instead, and often it is not the nearest venue but the one that does something better. If you don't name them, we pick them by distance, type of venue, prices and number of reviews. A comparison with your own choice is usually more precise.

Will my competitors see my analysis?

No, only you get the document.

Can I cancel Signal at any time?

Yes. Signal is paid once a year, €199 excl. VAT. If you cancel it any time before renewal, it will not renew for the next year. Just write to [email protected].

What if I want to know what a problem costs me in euros?

That needs an export from your till, and we can do that too. We tell you which items you can raise the price of and which you definitely should not, forecast your revenue to within 5%, show which items are worth offering together, and tell you at which hours and on which days you need more people on shift. With till data, all our recommendations get even more precise. Write to us at [email protected].
